Here's HOW we started:

When Hilton and Jenny began their small mom-and-pop business in 1977, their business cards said "Chief Cook" and "Bottle Washer."

Hilton founded our print directory in 1979 and by 1981 he was driving 8,000 miles each summer all over Colorado (with one of their five children) in his RV personally visiting and researching most of the campgrounds, RV parks, cabin resorts, mountain lodges, country bed-and-breakfast inns, and tourist attractions throughout Colorado. In 1988 we began including information on northern New Mexico businesses.

Each spring we print this newly updated information in our free annual edition of The Colorado and New Mexico Vacation Directory.

Hilton and Jenny's oldest daughter, Rebekah, joined the business full-time in 1988. By 1990 when their last child left home, Jenny joined Hilton on these trips as his helpmate while Rebekah ran the office.

Jenny decided to put our directory on the Internet and by May 1997 it was up and running.

In 2009 Dennis became our Senior Web Designer. If our Website is easy for you to find and use, credit Dennis and his staff.

In 2001 Rebekah graduated to President. Thad joined us in 2004, and since then we have added the wonderful people shown above to our staff as Hilton and Jenny are now mostly retired.

Our small family business now feels like an extended family ~ many of our loyal advertisers have been with us for decades, as have you, our readers.
